Psycho or psychic?

I have lived alone for almost 20 years, not counting the girl child. I am used to being alone, I like being alone, and I am not afraid to be alone.I live in a nice, safe neighborhood.

Every night when it's warm enough I open my doorwall from my dining and living rooms and enjoy the fresh air. The cat likes to sit by the screen and smell whatever it is cats like to smell. The dogs will wander over and bark outside now and then on some unknown dog schedule. It's normal routine here, and has been for the last six months.

Last night I was afraid to open the door. It made me laugh, but I decided to go with it and jammed the slider so it couldn't be forced open enough to allow even a child in. The evening went without incident, and every time I looked at the door I sort of chucked to myself softly, but felt a low current of unease until I closed the door and went to bed.

I just read the local news. A man cut a screen last night and entered a woman's home and attacked her. It was not particularly far from here.

Oh, I always listen to my gut . . .  or butt, or from wherever intuition springs!

It's always best to err on the side of over caution...I truly believe that we have our instincts for a reason...and in your case a very good one.  Wow!  rose

Glad you took precautions.
I get uneasy coming in my house sometimes late @ night, even though there is no reason for anyone to harm me.
