One goal achieved

One goal was achieved today! I did put down the deposit, but it's conditional upon them agreeing to a) adequately lower the $15,000 lot premium and b) allow me to install a decorative fence around the patio. Both seemed reasonable to the saleslady two days ago. Today, she hedged and indicated that *they* might not be willing to approve the amount I am wiling to offer for the lot or accept the fence. The fence is the deal breaker. She is clear on that now.

After being back there today, I am dearly hoping they agree to the fence. Without the snow and ice blowing in my face, the pond was even more attractive. The sun was out, the snow was melting, and I could picture the forest getting green and full with blooms and leaves. I realized, now that I could lift my eyes and look clearly across the pond, that we could walk around the pond unimpeded whenever we wanted to. Molly would love that. Can't say I would complain about a daily circle either. Baby is always ready to go. Gotta love that remodeling crew. The cat guards the house while we are gone, of course.

I intended to take more pictures today, but realized I didn't have the disk for my camera. It's still stuck in the computer from when I uploaded the other ones. Oops. I added a picture here from their website. Mine is like the one on the left, with the palladium window.

Cindy met me there after I signed the papers. I think she already has my kitchen organized for me. This is a kitchen to die for, too!
