Happy anniversary to me

I almost forgot! Today is my second year anniversary in the journals! It would also be my mom's birthday.

When I started here, I wrote in my about me section that I was trying to get my house ready to move. I am still trying, but at least I did finally make a big step towards actually moving. I was retired for just over one year when I started here. I had just left a short stint working at Godiva. Retail and I really aren't a good mix. I am a social worker, without a doubt. Customers would come in, single me out, and tell me their life histories and problems. I have a sign on my forehead or a beacon that draws that sort of behavior.

Over the last two years I have not had a lot of major changes in my life. My older beagle, Molly, was diagnosed with Addison's Disease at the age of 6 last year. My 19 year old cat was diagnosed with hypertyroidism a month or so ago. I am now being treated for ADD. My other dog, Baby, is fine, healthy, and still poops on the floor on a throw rug sometimes when I go out. 

Over the last two years I have, however, met some very fine and wonderful people here in the journals. Some I have felt very close to, and some are chat-with friends. I have met three of you in person, and enjoyed each visit. I hope to meet some more of you maybe later this year.

I hope you will stick with me if I make this change in my residence. It will not be a smooth ride, I am pretty sure of that. I still have a lot to do to my house before I am happy with showing it, and dealing with a sick dog who hates the car is not going to make it easy to show anyway. I won't do it myself; I will have an agent handle it. I just know it won't be easy!

I think what I am trying to say is thank you all for being part of my life now and I hope we have many years left together :)
