In my other journal, the ladies and I were discussing uniforms. In general, I don't get it. A lot of women are immediately turned on by seeing a man in a uniform. Some women like any uniform, some prefer a certain kind. I allowed that perhaps a baseball uniform is interesting.
I was asked to throw the discussion out to the men, also, to find out how they feel about women's interest in uniforms and to see if anyone can explain the attraction.
Any thoughts on this topic?

Thanks for bringing the discussion over to this Journal, too, Suzy! As I said before it's because the uniform represents power, authority, and strength...or maybe it's just the fit. :-)

I'll admit, I think I look pretty damn hot in my Class A EMS Uniform. Hell, I think I look hot in my BDU pants for EMS, when they aren't too big. (They seem to like to make the women's pants huge in the butt & the thighs, so I buy the men's pants and they fit that much better.) Women in uniforms = just as hot in men in uniforms! ;)

We have a name for it: Badge Bunnies. It's an occupational hazard, not unlike alcoholism and serial-divorce.
I think it goes towards the security factor, knowing that (at least at face value) the uniform provides safety and comfort, and we're likely to be of great help when it comes to killing the spider in the shower.
All that leather doesn't hurt, either.
