Thanks, AOL

AOL must be feeling inadequate after causing me to lose my entry three times. I got my credit card statement today and it shows a bill from AOL. I am on the free plan.

I went to keyword Billing and looked up my status. It says it didn't bill me. So, they not only steal entries, they lie? I tried to contact by email, and was told I would have to upgrade and pay $9.95 monthly to be able to tell them they charged me for a free service.

Anyone else have this happen?

All I can do is contact my credit card company and dispute the charge. I am sure I will then hear from AOL, hopefully at no charge to me.

I needed another chore to do.

BLAH to aol!  I am not on the free plan and I do get a bill every month.  I have dsl through my phone company too.  I could easily access aol through explorer, but my husband would never be able to figure it out...so I pay for aol.  The sanity is worth the price.  rose

That thought entered my my mind too. I haven't paid any attention to my credit card statement since I went to the free plan -- guess I better check it out! Unreal.

I just caught up on your recent entries but I'm being a meanie and didn't comment along the way. Will you forgive me?

Martha :-)

I switched from the $14.95 plan to the $9.95 plan.  I still had to pay the 14.95 for the month I was in.  AOL explained that the 9.95 plan would not take effect until the next billing period.  I hope this helps you.  Blessings, Penny http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

I already let them bill me an extra month - and their records show I have no bill for October. Yet, they billed me anyway. I am wondering if maybe I needed to stop the auto-billing? I will be finding out! We know I don't like to make calls to tech people. Billing is the same for me - frustrating, annoying, and mostly a repetitive waste of time.

I have been double-charged several times...like two fees for the same month!  Finally had to dispute it through my credit card company...THEN it stopped...good luck...Jae

You have to upgrade to the 9.95 plan in order to complain that they charged you????

EXCUSE ME?!?!?

Good luck....let 'em have it!!!

I had the same problems trying to get something posted. I think it was raining in Bombay or maybe a bird was on the phone line somewhere in Bangladesh.

I'm going to send Osama bin Laden the AOL corporate address, just for reference.

Nothing is ever easy, is it?

Hope all is well with you and
the girl child. I have not been
around as much as I would like
to lately. Hoping that might change
soon.

Happy rest of the weekend to
you!

I haven't been charged but I wanted to be added to the white spam list.  I do a lot of sends with my PSP group.  I can't do that cause they won't talk to me cause I'm on the free plan as well.  And yes, I would have to pay 9.95 a month to talk to someone.  Somehow, free is going to be free I guess.
