Pearl

Do not try to describe a new haircut to a hairstylist to try the day before you leave for a trip out of town.

Just trust me on this one.

If you do try a new haircut, don't let her spray hairspray on it and then get you hair so sweaty it has to be dried with the hairdryer.

You will end up with butch hair and no time to have her fix the cut.

Not that I would know anything about a situation like this.

It's even worse for an asymmetrical cut.

I have no more to add on this topic, since it's theoretical.

I believe you. Did I say I believe you. Once my husband and I were invited to an open house where he had done some important work. My hair looked soooo bad I wore a wig and had never worn one before. I felt like a three dollar bill. We went in the front door made our appearances, he showed me his work and we went out the back. Paula

Another little tidbit to tuck away in your memory banks.
Dont say to your stylist to "cut it like you always do"
because chances are she has no idea how she normally
cuts it, and you might end up with your hair cut like...well,
lets just say, not like you remembered it.  lmao

You can tell just by the way you are saying all this that you have NO personal experience in this kind of thing...

I'm trying to grow my hair back out from it's previous very short, short pixie style so no fear there. I do know I've always had to remind my stylist not to pouf my hair. That little reminder would save me from being over blown dried, chemically enhanced and with razor sharp chops. (Hugs)Indigo

Well now, haven't you been the busy little journaler lately?! Figures, now that I'm finally back you're going away! I'm all caught up here. I'm not as nice as you are and commenting on all the old entries I missed, but I promise I did read them :-)
Have a great trip! Martha :-)

I have been trying to explain the cut I want to the gal that cuts my hair since last fall.  Last week when I was there one of the customers had the cut I want.  I said this is what I'd like to have...she said no problem we can do that...we'll see.
