Third j-Anniversary

Today my mother would be 90 years old, if she had not been a smoker for 60 of her 77 years that she did live. Other than lung cancer that had metastasized, she was perfectly healthy at age 77.

It is also the third anniversary of my journal. I had thought I might have some profound words to say today, but I was wrong.

Today is a cold, snowy, dreary, ugly day where I live. Even the dogs are holding it until the last minute so they don't have to spend much time outside. There is ice under the fresh snow on the grass. What else to expect? It's still very much winter here and will be for a while.

I broke something in my washing machine. The thinamajibber that hooks into the whatchamacallit broke off and the witabitter is flapping around loose. It still works, if I don't put anything too heavy in it. It looks like a cheap piece of plastic snapped in half, but my guess is that the warranty probably ran out last month and it will cost just more than half the original cost to repair it and the entire guts will have to come out.

I might try to do that myself. It sounds like fun.

However, my brain must have a broken witabitter in it, too. I have nothing profound to say, other than I am glad I found the journals and I have enjoyed all my time here, reading, writing, and even doing a little 'rithmetic.

I love you guys :-)

Happy 3rd on your journal. I, for one, am glad to call you my friend. Plus, you make me think about my grammer and spelling. ;)

My thingamabob broke on my washer once. I called Mr. Whatshisface to comfirm it. A few dollars later, I had a new witaibber. Let me know if I can help!

P.s Seriously, I can help if you let me know. :)

I hope you get your washer fixed. It sounds like it is too cold to go to the laundry mat.

:) I think you're pretty awesome yourself!  Yesterday was great here in Northern Illinois...the wind kicked up the snow that was left after the thunderstorm and caused some pretty cool white outs!  I hope your washers not dead, didn't you just get that thing???  rose~

Strange, some of my alerts are not working!!!  Sorry to hear about your washing machine. My freg. is collecting water under the crispers, and like you; hate to call a repair man. Cost an arm & leg to fix it. Food is still cold, so I soak it up every couple of days. LOL Wishing you some sunshine. I don't even like snow on a post card!!  Janie

Good luck with your washer. I just heard on the news this morning the profound advice that if a repair costs more than half the replacement cost, don't bother repairing. Hopefully, your thingamabob will cost less than that to repair!!

Oh yeah, happy anniversary to you and your journal!! If it were happy hour, I'd join you in a Seabreeze toast!!

Have a great week,
:) Carol

Sorry to hear that the weather is not as good as it is here in South Yorkshire, we have no snow at the moment, and that your washing machine is doing its own thing.

I hope everything soon works out to the good.

By for now,

John.

PS.

Thank you for the kind things you have said about my journal.

Happy 2rd anniversary!  I don't blame the dogs for waiting until the last possible minute.  We finally got some warmer weather here - I could still use some time in Florida, the Bahamas, Mexico or anywhere else in SUNSHINE!  What should we book?

Hope the whatchamacallit isn't too expensive to repair.  Pulling it apart is nothing, it's putting back together in working order where the fun begins - Have FUN! I must admit, my washing machine makes a tingy tangy bangy noise and it sounds like a diddlydoddliebobby came loose in the machine.  If you have any idea how to fix it, would you let me know?
